Our core product will always be our coffee and this is where we start from. With a wealth of direct roasting experience
we set out to create a range of Fairtrade blends specifically for the modern market and tailored specifically for the
coffee making equipment that we supply to deliver your cup – a totally unique approach that we are proud of.
Because we offer a range of solutions, naturally we have and will continue to develop new blends. For once, Fairtrade
coffee can be synonymous with a superb and consistent quality drink.
Responsibly, ethically sourced produce
Every green bean we source and roast is Fairtrade accredited,
whether it is from Brazil, Peru or El Salvador. We have chosen to work with co-operatives rather than directly with larger plantations
as this enables us to directly benefit the smaller subsistence farmer that much more. As well as spreading our bean purchases
over a wider range of farming communities we choose co-operatives that also consciously re-invest in these communities.
We roast our own coffee
We roast our blends every week in small and medium sized batches in our own roastery in Glasgow. This ensures that your coffee,
whether whole bean or ground, is absolutely the freshest possible when it reaches you. Full traceability is a given of course.
Teas & chocolate
To go with our coffee we have also sourced, tested and adopted a range of teas and hot chocolates that meets Urban Espresso’s testing
ethical and quality criteria.
Mighty Leaf Tea is one of our key partners in supplying tea. Ethically traded, their passion is for
creating the most incredible handcrafted tea blends found anywhere, globally sourcing the finest ingredients available. With a huge
range of teas to suit any palate and to enable regular “guest teas” into any corporate environment we are confident that you will be
constantly delighted.
Our specially created handcrafted Tea Pouches are designed to unleash the essence of the quality – tasting is believing. We also carry
Clipper Tea for customers who require a specific Fairtrade solution. The number one Fairtrade tea brand in the UK Clipper also provide
a wide range of teas, including organics in a wide variety of packaging options, from catering packs to individually tagged and wrapped bags.
For hot chocolate we have created a pure creamy drink that will ruin all other hot chocolates for you…for ever. Fairtrade accredited it is
made from the finest Costa Rican beans with an exceptionally high cocoa content.
